We are a small offline social club in Halifax with that hosts consistent in-person gatherings for adults interested in building deep friendships through shared experiences like workshops and outings.

We are looking for a Social Club Host who leads programming, acts as Social Diplomat when co-hosting, and assists with some operational tasks.

What We're Looking For

A person who can walk into a room of strangers, read the energy, and effortlessly bridge gaps between wildly different demographics.

You have extremely high emotional intelligence and a low ego.

Because our events will be inclusive, you will encounter diverse cultures, different generations, and varying levels of social grace.

So patience and understanding is key.

We're looking for someone who can both host a fun casual gathering and also gently de-escalate a situation tactfully and shift it into a teachable moment should one arise.

Day to Day Tasks

Host & Co-Host Hangouts & Social Experiences
Brainstorm, Plan, Setup, take-down, & reflect on events
Assist with community management (responding to inquiries etc)

Rate: $23-$25/hr
Location: Hybrid
Schedule: 5-10 hours/week to start

Availability: Evenings, weekends for in-person meetings, anytime for remote work

Hybrid Details: In-person work will include hosting events and occasional in-person research or meetings.
