Murder Mystery Dinner & Costume Party
As a friend of the late millionaire Samuel A. Sapphire, you have been invited to his will reading where the riches of his estate will be awarded to someone near and dear.
There will be light roleplaying as assigned characters, deception, deceit, dinner, and even bribery with cold hard cash, while you try to solve his murder before anyone else.
We'll have 14 main roles and many supportive roles with varying degrees of involvement (i.e tabloid dealer vs simple detective).

How it Works
Before the Reading
- After your RSVP, you will receive an automatic confirmation email with the exact location and time
- 48 hours after that, you will receive a second email with info about your role, secrets, and objectives.
- Please read the information about your role so you can be prepared for the dinner.
On Arrival
- You will be given cash, a name tag, and other supporting materials for you character.
- There will be light conversation as people arrive, savory food and snacks to be had, and a lounge / library / game area to enjoy before the reading begins.
The Reading
- The reading of Samuel's will is brief, but comprehensive and will explain what to do next.
- Then the investigation, sleuthing, and deception begin.
Conclusion
- At the end of the night (around 8:30), we'll announce who solved the mystery first as well as other awards earned that night from best costume, to best performance.
The space will remain open as we close, but feel free to stick around, continue chatting, snacking, and hanging out until a little after 9.
Some might go to the Discovery Center After Dark Halloween afterwards for a drink and continued fun; so you can head on there or call a night.

Bring Your Own Book - Book Club Social
With the cool weather setting in, it's a good time to pick up some new books and share some stories you've read that others might also be interested in reading.
For this casual hangout, we'll meet up at the Central Library and head to a quiet spot to sip coffees, enjoy our snacks and chat.
Inclusive of all types of literature, novels, short stories, manga, comics, chemistry books, and scrolls with ancient texts we'll share our latest read and what we're looking for in our next one.
We'll start by placing our books on the table and taking a moment to walk around, and peruse the selection.
Then, we'll sit in front of our book and go around the table where we'll share a quick summary (without spoilers), a scene, moment, panel, or fact we enjoyed, and answer quick questions about your book, and then we'll move on to the next person.
If time permits, we'll get up and move around to allow for conversation, side tangents, and book recommendations from each other.
More details and the meet-up location in the library will be sent out by email a few days before so check your email after you RSVP to make sure it lands in your inbox.

Winter Fashion Show Brainstorm & Planning
We've got an idea for a small, avant-garde yet fun winter fashion show that'll likely take place at the end of January or early February.
This fashion show will be for a small audience, with most seats reserved for close friends, family, and those in the group chat.
This is a noncommittal hangout, so you can participate without signing up to participate in the actual fashion show.
For the format, we'll start with some light conversation, a quick round of intros, and then introduce the concept.
After that, we'll answer some quick questions before splitting off into exploratory groups (where you'll explore inspo magazines, imagery, and sound in the room before sitting down to share ideas).
We'll take a quick snack break, and then head to different tables (based on what we're drawn to) and work on a few more details before wrapping up.
The space will remain open a little longer as we pack up so feel free to stick around for an open ended snack and chat.

Retro & Social Board Game Night
Back by popular demand, join us for an evening of snacks, chatting, and playing a mix of retro console games and optional board games on the side.
We've got a mix of cooperative and competitive games as well as some quick deception and social board games to play.
This hangout is beginner friendly and we welcome gamers and non-gamers alike.
We’ll start the evening with a quick round of intros and light conversation while we settle in, then we'll choose a few games pair up for the game stations, and play to our heart's content.
There will be breaks and a lose structure to allow everyone to play their preferred consoles at least once.
As we end the night, we'll humble-brag about our high scores and wins and then head home for the night.

Agatha Christie's work is always filled with engaging narratives and unexpected twists.
So this time, we'll head out to a performance with one of our group chat members playing a roll and enjoy the play.
Witness for the Prosecution is a mystery and crime narrative where the main character may die if found guilty.
For this hangout, we'll meet briefly before the show at Bedford Community Theatre, have some light conversation and then head into the theatre.
Because the show will end close to 9 pm, we'll chat briefly in the lobby before heading home. Some may head to a nearby pub to continue the chatting.

Cookies & Latte Art - Level 1
For this casual hangout, we'll learn the basics of at-home latte art, get hands on practice, and then decorate a cookie to sip and snack while enjoying our hard work.
We'll start with some light conversation and a quick round of intros before talking about the the basics of latte art.
Then, step by step, we'll learn and practice pouring and creating imagery in our cups.
Right before our final pour, we'll take a quick break for selecting cookies, off-topic chatting, and decorating.
Then we'll pour our final cup of latte art and conclude.
